A $2,500 Millie & Ken Hom Nursing Scholarship will be awarded in 2010 to a nursing student with eastern Montana roots. Applications and details are now available for the $2,500 scholarship; application deadline is April 15, 2010.
In 2005, Ken Hom of Miles City established a substantial endowment in memory of his late wife, Millie, a true pioneer for the nursing profession in Montana. Hom partnered with the Holy Rosary Healthcare Foundation to fund the endowment that will provide nursing scholarships and professional opportunities for years to come.
The Millie & Ken Hom Nursing Scholarship Program criteria includes: successful completion of one year of college in a nursing program (or is currently enrolled in his/her first year); is pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree related to nursing; grew up, was educated, now resides and/or will work in eastern Montana; has a proven need for financial assistance.
The Millie & Ken Hom Nursing Scholarship Program is administered by the Holy Rosary Healthcare Foundation and scholarship recipients are selected by an independent committee.
